Anthony Lane – President/Managing Partner

Anthony Lane formed S3 Consulting LLC in July 2006 bringing almost 20 years of experience in the manufacturing industry with successes in selling to both the Business-to-Business and Retail industries.   Starting in the engineering department at GHN Neon/Everbrite Electric Signs in the early 1990’s Anthony quickly moved in to a management position responsible for overseeing all engineering and estimating duties as well as in-house manufacturing quality programs and safety compliance standards for Underwrites Laboratories (UL) and Canadian Standards Association (CSA).  In the late 1990’s Anthony moved in to a sales position as an Account Executive responsible for building in house business-to-business sales in the western United States.  With quick sales successes, a promotion to Vice President of National Accounts was awarded, as well as the opportunity to head an in-house dot com startup.  In early 2000, NeonCentral.com was launched as Everbrite’s first attempt at selling directly to consumers.  NeonCentral.com saw immediate successes with more than 40% growth per year, reaching over $1.5 million in annual sales by the third year after startup.  The success of NeonCentral.com led to another in-house startup with Anthony now overseeing the development of the retail division.  Everbrite’s retail division was developed using the engineering and manufacturing strengths within the corporation combined with top selling entertainment and sports licenses to develop illuminated retail products aimed at mass market and mid-tier retail channels.  Anthony was responsible for overseeing licensing agreements, product development, marketing and sales strategies, and developing a team of outside sales representatives with existing relationships with retail buyers.  Through this program Anthony started working with his future business partner, John O’Connell.

 

Upon leaving GHN Neon/Everbrite, Anthony was acting as Vice President of National Accounts and Retail while still overseeing the e-commerce business.  Anthony joined as Vice President of National Accounts with Nissen Partners Limited (NPL) prior to starting S3 Consulting, and continues to work with NPL developing Point of Sale (POS) merchandising business in the beer, beverage, and tobacco industries.   Today Anthony has been acting as President and Managing Partner for S3 Consulting LLC. since the company’s inception in July 2006. 

 

John O’Connell – President National Sales/Business Development
John O’Connell joined S3 Consulting in September, 2006 bringing more than ten years experience in retail sales and marketing.  Starting in the restaurant industry, over a 15 year period John owned and operated five restaurants. Using contacts that were made in the restaurant industry, John changed directions launching Fayerweather Distributors taking his first client, Imus Ranch Food, directly into the independent and specialty class of trade in grocery.  Fayerweather Distributors was given the task to act as the distribution arm of Imus Ranch Food in the Tri-state region.  Quickly Fayerweather Distributors began introducing new products to their retail base and expanded their line to almost 100 SKU’s sold throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

After many successes in grocery distribution John started Fayerweather Sales and Marketing in 2002.  Acting as a sales broker for existing distribution clients John was able to develop new relationships with clients assisting in developing retail programs that would result in many successes. Some of those successes included NEXgen Home Specialties launched into more than 2,000 retail stores, Orange County Choppers licensed merchandise taken to both mid-tier and mass market retail, Franks Marinara launched into more than 1,500 grocery stores, and helping to develop Bear Naked Granola into a nationally recognized brand.  

In 2004 John was recruited by Everbrite Retail to act as their National Sales Manager responsible for helping to take licensed product into both mid-tier and mass market retail.  John was directly responsible for opening the doors and securing vendor numbers for Everbrite Retail and several major retailers that included Sam’s Club, Linen’s and Things, and The Home Depot.  In September 2006 John joined S3 Consulting and has been acting as the President of National Sales and Business Development. He has continued his successes in developing key retail accounts for many of S3 Consulting’s clients.

 

Matthew Klahorst - Account Executive
Matthew Klahorst was recruited by Anthony Lane after a successful working relationship at NeonCentral.com. Working as the sales and marketing coordinator, Klahorst worked with Lane to bring hundreds of products to market at both a wholesale and retail level, while consistently outperforming previous sales levels.

In 2005, Klahorst worked as a marketing consultant for the mortgage and finance industries, creating marketing and lead opportunities for mortgage companies in a tightening market. Shortly after he was recruited by Strada Capital Corporation, a commercial business bank, as the Director of Marketing. In 2008, Strada Capital Corporation was awarded #223 in Inc 500's Faster Growing Private Companies in America.

Klahorst formed SMI Solutions, Inc. and continues to work as a marketing consultant for finance, manufacturing, and service-based companies. As an account executive with S3 Consulting, LLC, Klahorst brings sales and marketing prowess to ensure every facet of a successful retail launch is on target.
